The Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics alternated wins this season.
Joe Mazzulla’s team won three out of five meetings, but no team was able to win consecutive games against each other.
Nonetheless, it seems like Las Vegas believes things won’t be that close in the Eastern Conference Finals.
According to a report by Evan Sidery, oddsmakers have the Celtics as -1000 favorites to advance to the NBA Finals, meaning that one would have to wager $1,000 to win an additional $100.

The Pacers, on the other hand, are given +700 odds, meaning a $100 wager would result in a $800 payout.
Needless to say, oddsmakers aren’t high on Rick Carlisle’s team right now, but that has been the case with them throughout the course of the entire playoffs.
The Pacers weren’t supposed to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, and while Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo getting hurt clearly took a big toll on their chances, they still managed to take care of business.
Then, they kept their foot on the gas against the No. 2 seeded New York Knicks.
People try to discredit them because of the injuries and heavy minutes Knicks players played, but we should also give the Pacers some credit.
They also finished second in the In-Season Tournament, so perhaps they’re better than people give them credit for.
Of course, the Celtics should be considered the team to beat overall, and not reaching the NBA Finals would be a big failure.
But let’s not act like the Pacers reached this stage out of sheer luck.
