One of the biggest reasons the Boston Celtics won the NBA championship last month was the presence of Jrue Holiday, their starting point guard.
They acquired him in a trade late last summer, and his defense and floor leadership proved to be invaluable throughout this past season.
Holiday is quite possibly the league’s best defender at the point guard position, but that doesn’t mean he has never had a hard time guarding players on the other side.
Per ClutchPoints, he said Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant and Kemba Walker were the toughest players he has ever had to guard.

Obviously, Bryant was the ultimate nightmare for many opposing teams and players in his storied 20-year career, but it is easy to forget that Rose was once a nightmare in his own right.
When he was young, he was considered one of the game’s most athletic point guards of all time, and he was named league MVP in the 2010-11 season when he averaged 25.0 points and 7.7 assists a game.
Unfortunately, the following year, he suffered a severe knee injury in the playoffs, and although he’s still in the NBA as a reserve guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, he hasn’t been the same since that knee injury.
Walker is a curious choice, as he was a good player, but he was never considered a bona fide force.
He made the All-Star team four straight times starting in the 2016-17 season, and the speedster guard peaked two seasons later by posting 25.6 points and 5.9 assists a game.
