The Boston Celtics are having the best summer out of any NBA team as they are celebrating the franchise’s 18th NBA championship as well as bringing back some gold medals.
Jayston Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White were members of USA Basketball and helped Team USA beat France in the Finals of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Holiday and White got more playing time in the medal rounds than Tatum, though it didn’t matter in the end as the Americans were able to capture the program’s fifth consecutive gold medal.
However, there are fans who are speculating that the league and Team USA might have some sort of agenda against the Celtics.
There is an unusual amount of people who want to separate Jaylen Brown and Tatum, and the former also was surprisingly left off the Team USA roster when Kawhi Leonard stepped down.
Even former players like Lou Williams are confused and are wondering why Tatum and Brown have gotten the short end of the stick via The Underground Lounge.
“Is there a conspiracy theory going on against Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown?” Williams questioned.
Lou Williams suggests that there's an agenda against the Celtics, citing Jaylen Brown being excluded from Team USA and Jayson Tatum receiving limited minutes. He believes there's a push to break up the team

Williams goes on to mention that he can’t understand why Brown was left off the Team USA roster and why the media seems to want to break apart him and Tatum.
It’s unlikely that anything is going on behind the scenes to thwart Boston, though there are some situations that seem odd on paper.
Regardless, the Celtics are sitting in prime position to repeat as champions and that’s all that matters currently.
