Steve Kerr has received more criticism than any other Team USA head coach in history.
Many people grew angry with Kerr’s choices, most notably his resistance to using Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics often during the Paris Olympics.
Speaking on “The Sheed X Tyler Show”, per NBACentral, Bonzi Wells said Kerr was “disrespectful” to Tatum, who handled the situation like a pro.
He said Kerr’s decision to not use Tatum was made even worse because other Celtics stars were getting more minutes than him.

It was bad enough that Tatum was relegated to the bench just weeks after winning his first NBA championship.
However, according to Wells, this situation was even worse because Jrue Holiday and Derrick White got more minutes during games.
Tatum is the biggest star for Boston and the face of the franchise, yet he was sitting on the sidelines as his teammates scored for Team USA.
Wells knows that there are legitimate reasons why Kerr may have benched Tatum.
For example, he needed stars who could perform as role players to really make the team work well.
While Holiday and White have proven they are great, capable role players, Wells thinks Tatum deserved a shot at proving he could be too.
Instead, he didn’t get a chance to fit into Kerr’s plans.
People are still talking about this controversy weeks after the end of the Olympics, which proves this isn’t going away.
Will it fuel Tatum to play even better in the season ahead?
Perhaps this rough run through the Olympics will encourage Tatum to play harder, prove his worth, and remind Kerr of the mistake he made.
