After years of trying, Jayson Tatum is now officially an NBA champion.
He has spent the last few months traveling the world on behalf of his country and reveling in being a champion as well as a gold medalist.
Now Tatum has made a big move to commemorate a major moment in his career.
Legion Hoops shared an image of a new tattoo Tatum received.
The tattoo features an image of Tatum cradling and kissing the Larry O’Brien Trophy, moments after winning his first title.
The online response to Tatum’s tattoo was immediate and mixed.

Others said the hate that Tatum will receive is completely unnecessary but, sadly, predictable.
The amount of criticism he gets is “insane,” according to some fans.
People will find a way to hate on him for this lmfao it's insane

Many people were proud of Tatum for his first Finals win after multiple seasons of his team battling hard, coming close and falling short.
That accomplishment should be praised, no matter the opinion of Tatum, some said.
I dont understand the hate its his first ring, hes been so close for 6 years and now he finally won

Tatum has many tattoos but only one championship, for now.
His Celtics will fight incredibly hard in the new season and will strive to become back-to-back champions.
That is easier said than done, but if they can do it, you can bet Tatum will add another tattoo to commemorate it.
