The Boston Celtics are built to win the NBA Finals.
This team wasn’t meant to dominate in the regular season or even in the playoffs; they were constructed with the sole purpose of getting over the hump once and for all.
So far, so good.
They closed out the year with the best record in the Association and are the first team to punch their ticket to the Conference Finals.
Nonetheless, even though they should beat either the Indiana Pacers or New York Knicks, Keyshawn Johnson believes that will be the end of the line for them if the Denver Nuggets also make it to the NBA Finals.
Talking on “Undisputed,” the former NFL star stated that the Nuggets are simply the better team, and it just doesn’t seem like the Celtics have what it takes to beat them right now.

Granted, adding Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to that mix gave them something they had been missing for years.
Still, the Nuggets look like the team to beat right now.
Notably, Mike Malone’s team showed plenty of character by coming back from a 0-2 deficit to win three games in a row against Minnesota, two of them on the road.
They showed championship experience and pedigree, and a team that’s been battle-tested always feels like they can overcome any situation.
They’ve also beaten the Celtics three consecutive times dating back to last season, including a 2-game sweep this year.
Anything can happen, and there’s still plenty of basketball left.
But for now, it seems like it’s the Nuggets’ championship to lose.
