The Boston Celtics have officially done it.
After a few years of getting close, they have finally gotten over the hump and won the NBA Finals.
Fans and analysts were starting to get critical of this team, as they had fallen just short of their dreams on multiple occasions.
While this criticism was about the entire team, people were especially frustrated with Jayson Tatum’s performances in big moments.
Despite being a fantastic player during the regular season, Tatum did struggle in some playoff games, including several games in the Finals.
However, he rose above the noise in Game 5, scoring 31 points to help put the dagger on the Dallas Mavericks.
This clinched his first championship, a new feeling for him and his teammates.
Tatum recently spoke with Green about winning the title, noting what his feelings were like in the moment.
As Green noted from Tatum, “I don’t know what I thought this was gonna feel like, but whatever I thought… It’s way better.”

Winning the NBA Finals is the dream for young basketball players.
For most, it is just a pipe dream, but for Tatum and his teammates, that dream has now become a reality.
It was difficult for him to describe the feeling of winning a title, but it is clear that he is full of joy and excited to move forward with this team.
The Celtics are bringing back the majority of their championship-winning roster next year, including Tatum.
Will they be able to capitalize on their momentum and win back-to-back championships?
