There were many questions and doubts for the Boston Celtics when they hired Joe Mazzulla as their head coach.
Mazzulla had never been an NBA head coach before, and yet, he was handed the keys to one of the most historic franchises in the league.
While he had a lot of doubters right away, Mazzulla has certainly quieted these concerns over the past two seasons.
He brought them to the Eastern Conference Finals in his first year as the full-time head coach, and now, just won an NBA title with them at 35 years old.
As one might expect, Mazzulla is incredibly proud of what he and this team were able to accomplish.
A recent video from Yahoo Sports showed Mazzulla proudly walking around the town with the Larry O’Brien trophy, showing off his newest achievement.

The Celtics set out to win their 18th NBA title this year, and they achieved their goal.
There was a narrative surrounding them that they weren’t clutch, or weren’t able to finish down the stretch.
Not only have the Celtics proven that wrong, but they have set themselves up for the foreseeable future.
With most of their roster coming back next season, the Celtics could be a force to be reckoned with moving forward.
Perhaps this is just the beginning for this team.
If this video of Mazzulla is any indication, the Celtics have a sense of pride about themselves to win the title, and they’re not going to want to give that up anytime soon.
