The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics don’t like each other.
The fans and even the analysts also despise each other.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see Celtics analyst Phill Perry predict that JJ Redick won’t succeed in Los Angeles.
Talking on NBC Sports Boston, he showed a clip of Redick stating that he didn’t give an F*** about the doubters, stating that his tenure in Los Angeles was going to go horribly because he has thin skin.

He claimed that Redick wasn’t built for that kind of scrutiny, and that he didn’t know how long he’d last on the job.
He then compared him to Steve Kerr, stating that they both had similar careers as three-point specialists but adding that they just didn’t have the same personality.
Ironically, Redick recently revealed that Joe Mazzulla reached out to him to be a part of his coaching staff before the start of the season, and Redick was unable to do so.
Perhaps, Perry’s take on Redick would’ve been entirely different had he taken the job instead, but we might never know.
At the end of the day, one cannot predict the future, and only time will tell just how successful — or not — he’ll be in charge of the team.
