Jayson Tatum just earned the ultimate NBA honor as his Boston Celtics won a championship.

But he is still a young man and could claim more titles in the future.

If things go his way, Tatum will be doing that in Boston.

Speaking with Adam Himmelsbach, per Savage on Twitter, Tatum said that he wants to spend the rest of his career playing for the Celtics.

“I’ll spend my whole career here and have got nothing but love for the fans, the city, and the organization,” Tatum said.

Tatum has spent seven years in the NBA so far and all of them have been with the Celtics.

During that time, he has earned five All-Star appearances, a spot on four All-NBA teams, and was named the Eastern Conference MVP in 2021-22.

Tatum has become a staple of the Celtics and, for most people, the face of the team.

Now that they have finally won a championship, the Celtics are eager to do it again.

They don’t want to win just one title but are trying to build a dynasty.

Tatum has received a fair share of criticism during his career, with some people saying that he needs to add more leadership skills to his game and work on his on-court abilities too.

But he silenced many critics with this Finals win, even if he wasn’t named Finals MVP.

If Tatum remains in Boston for the rest of his career, he could be like Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, and other stars who remained with only one franchise.

That might be the biggest honor of them all.
