To be a championship team, you have to be different.
You have to have different tactics, a different mindset, and just a different kind of motivation.
Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser recently revealed the most unique strategy that head coach Joe Mazzulla used to motivate his team to the NBA title this year.
“He pulled up this clip from National Geographic, and it’s these three orca whales hunting this seal. … His message was, ‘Killer whales don’t do it on their own,'” Hauser recently stated on “Green Light with Chris Long.”

Whatever tactics the coach has used to motivate his players, it looks like they have worked.
Ever since taking over as Celtics head coach for the 2022-23 season, Mazzulla has posted a regular season record of 121-43, which is a winning percentage of .738.
He has taken Boston to back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals, but his biggest accomplishment is leading the Celtics to the title this past season.
Not only did Mazzulla guide the Celtics to a dominant 64-18 regular season record, but they went 16-3 in the postseason.
Even though they have the most titles in NBA history (18), the Celtics had not won a championship since 2008.
The big question now becomes whether or not Mazzulla can motivate them to repeat as champions next season.
If they end up doing that, the NBA could be looking at the start of yet another great dynasty.
