Just a few weeks ago, the Boston Celtics won their first NBA championship in 16 years, and many have been discussing their ability to win more rings in the years to come.
Their two main stars — Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown — are both in their mid-20s, and thus some feel the Celtics have the potential to become a dynasty.
But others feel Boston isn’t all that in a historical sense and will ultimately be stuck on this one ring in the Brown/Tatum era.
Tatum, however, said he would pick his championship Celtics to win one game against Team USA, which he’s also a member of, per Cameron Tabatabaie.
“I'm riding with the guys that I just played 10 months of basketball with.
I'm taking us against whoever.”

That statement seems ludicrous, given that Team USA also features superstars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry as it prepares to compete in the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics.
But there is no doubt that the Celtics, as presently constituted, are very, very good, even if they don’t deserve to be mentioned among the greatest NBA teams over the past few decades.
This past season, they finished second in points per game, 3-point shooting percentage and defensive rating, and no NBA team has ever had as high an offensive rating as they did.
In addition to Tatum and Brown, Boston also has Team USA member Jrue Holiday, quite possibly the best point-of-attack defender in the NBA; Derrick White, an outstanding do-everything role player; and two-way big man Kristaps Porzingis.
The problem for Boston right now is the leg injury Porzingis suffered in the NBA Finals that could cause him to miss part of this coming season. But other than that, the Celtics seem set to try to make a run at another title.
