The NBA doesn’t have too many two-way stars anymore.
Most of the players are focused on scoring nowadays, and those who actually play defense are most likely specialists on that end of the floor.
That’s why it seemed like Jaylen Brown was the logical choice to replace Kawhi Leonard on Team USA.
Brown clearly felt snubbed after being replaced by his Boston Celtics teammate, Derrick White.
With that in mind, NBA analyst Seth Greenberg claimed that Brown had absolutely every right to feel snubbed.
In his recent appearance on ESPN’s Get Up, he called Brown ‘Kawhi Leonard 2.0,’ as he can get the job done on both ends of the floor, play within a role, and win at the highest level.
"He's Kawhi Leonard 2.0. So if you lose Kawhi Leonard, why wouldn't you put in Kawhi Leonard 2.0?"

He proved that by being the Finals MVP last season and playing alongside fellow Olympians Jayson Tatum and Derrick White.
Needless to say, there are tiers and levels to everything, and Brown isn’t at Leonard’s level.
Then again, he does come from a similar mold and had done more than enough to be considered the likeliest option.
Moreover, with his teammate getting the nod, perhaps he could’ve been a little more supportive.
