Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been all over the news for the wrong reasons lately.
He felt like he was snubbed by USA Basketball and should’ve made Team USA, especially when Kawhi Leonard withdrew himself from the team.
He has every right to feel that way and, truth be told, he had more than enough argument to get the nod.
However, things took a different turn when he started sharing cryptic tweets.
More than that, he drew plenty of criticism for the fact that he didn’t come out to publicly support his own teammate, Derrick White, who got the nod over him.
With that in mind, the reigning NBA Finals MVP cleared the air on his relationship with White (via Jared Weiss).
Jaylen Brown: “I called Derrick right away. Just to make sure there's no confusion, my love for you and all of that. He knew that. Me and D-White are good." pic.twitter.com/Am5yhqZPpb

Brown revealed that he immediately called White to congratulate him and wish him all the best with Team USA, adding that they were on great terms and that White was aware of his thoughts.
Derrick White is a tailor-made player for FIBA Basketball, and they just thought he would be a better fit.
Sometimes, players get the call or not based on things other than basketball, and there have been multiple reports about Brown not being the easiest player to be with at times.
He’s one of the best players in the league and has a right to feel a certain way, but you shouldn’t make those kinds of statements unless you have actual proof of what’s going on.
