Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is one of the most talked-about and well-respected young stars in the NBA.
He is also now a champion after his Celtics won the Finals last month.
Despite all he has done, some people claim that Tatum is not the face of the league and there is a lot of debate about why.
Speaking on “7PM In Brooklyn,” per Legion Hoops, Carmelo Anthony talked about Tatum, his place in the NBA, and why he is not considered the future face of the league.
“The reason why we put Anthony Edwards there is because of his aura. If JT had that aura, it’s over,” Anthony said.

It’s not entirely clear what Anthony means when he talks about aura but it’s likely a feeling and energy that someone emits.
Anthony Edwards definitely has a high energy and winning personality that is attractive to many.
He has been talked about a lot, especially recently during the playoffs when his team surprised millions by going all the way to the Western Conference Finals.
As for Tatum, his talent is unquestionable and his success is on a whole other level now.
After years of coming close, he has finally achieved his dream of being an NBA champion, which is a huge feat for the young star.
But conversations about him will continue to talk about why he isn’t the biggest star in the league and why many people don’t see him as the person who will lead it into the future.
Throughout the NBA’s history, there have been so many stars who have accomplished huge things but still weren’t seen as the best of the best or figureheads.
Even if he is the next face of the NBA or not, no one can take away what Tatum has done.
