Jayson Tatum has only been an NBA champion for a few months but he’s already planning for the season ahead.
Like the rest of the Boston Celtics, Tatum is deadset on winning another championship but he isn’t taking anything for granted.
Sitting down on CBS, per Taylor Snow, Tatum revealed Boston’s plan for 2024-25.
“Let’s start over, let’s get better every single day and not skip any steps. That’s why we were successful last season,” Tatum said.

Tatum gave a very good answer about running it back with the Celtics.
He isn’t assuming his team is the odds-on favorite to win it all again because he feels that is inconsiderate and doesn’t give the rest of the league enough credit.
The truth is that the Celtics will have to play even better than they did last season.
They are still an incredible team but are in a conference that got tougher in the summer and there are teams throughout the league adamant about taking Boston down.
The Celtics will have more attention and more competition.
With that being said, there is every reason to believe in the Celtics and it’s wise to consider them the team to beat in the NBA.
Their roster stayed intact this summer, even though Kristaps Porzingis will be out at the start of the season.
And now that they have proven they can win a championship, their level of confidence will only grow.
Tatum’s statement should be reassuring for Celtics fans because it proves that he hasn’t lost his competitive edge.
The fight ahead will be tough, but Tatum sounds ready for that.
