The Boston Celtics are NBA champions and have been celebrated by fans across the world after securing their 18th title.
That celebration culminated in a massive parade through Boston last week, where millions of fans poured out to cheer on the team.
President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens spoke to NBC Sports about the parade, calling it “one of the most amazing experiences of my life.”

Stevens said that the parade gave him time to reflect on everything the team has been through.
Years ago, when he was coaching the Celtics, they didn’t look like champions or strong playoff contenders.
But Stevens had a plan and stuck to it, both as a coach and later as the top executive in the organization.
Slowly but surely, the team has turned things around and become more and more dominant.
And now they are champions.
Stevens has always had faith in the players on his team and the goals they had and now it’s all paid off.
He admitted that things didn’t feel all that different immediately after winning the Finals.
But making his way through Boston among the droves of loyal Boston fans had an impact on Stevens and made him see everything that had been accomplished.
Now that they have achieved their ultimate goals, the Celtics will have all summer to prepare for the new season and another run at the title.
It’s been a long time coming but the Celtics have delivered on all their promise and potential.
Now the question is if they can do it again next season.
No matter what happens, it’s obvious that nothing will ever take away the special moment that Stevens and his players experienced last week during the parade.
