The Boston Celtics may have won the NBA championship earlier in June, but that title was years in the making.
It all started with Danny Ainge making moves, and then Brad Stevens took the reins of the project to take them the distance.
That’s why it’s only natural to see that Stevens won’t look to fix what isn’t broken, and he’ll bring as many guys back as he possibly can.
With that in mind, the Celtics are reportedly picking up Sam Hauser’s $2.1 million option, according to Adam Himmeslbach of The Boston Globe.
Per sources, the Celtics are picking up Sam Hauser’s $2.1 million option, and the two sides are expected to have extension negotiations after the window opens July 9.https://t.co/ZAsBH5rmCf

Per Himmelsbach, both sides are also expected to have extension negotiations soon.
Hauser was a key role player for the defending champions, serving as their best three-point shooter and knocking down timely shots, particularly in the playoffs.
The Celtics were dealt a big blow last week, as it was revealed that Kristaps Porzingis wouldn’t be able to get back on the floor for the next six months at the very least, meaning he’s going to be out until at least December.
Even so, Joe Mazzulla’s team proved to be more than capable of winning without the former lottery pick.
This team is stacked and should only get better with more time and experience together.
The Celtics will be the team to beat not only in the Eastern Conference but in all of basketball, and it seems like Stevens wants everybody to stay put.
