There were a lot of questions surrounding Jaylen Brown heading into the 2023-2024 Season.

Brown had played well for the Boston Celtics to that point, but there was a growing concern that he wasn’t strong with his left hand and that he didn’t possess a clutch gene to help the Celtics take the next step.

He seemingly proved his doubters wrong this year, not only having one of the best seasons of his life but also making his postseason performances count when it mattered most.

With this in mind, Brown was seemingly a shoo-in to make Team USA to help represent the country in the Olympics.

However, Brown wasn’t on the initial roster, and when Kawhi Leonard recently dropped out, his teammate, Derrick White, was asked to be a replacement instead.

Brown has been relatively quiet about the situation to this point, but Cam Newton asked him about it on the red carpet at the ESPY’s.

When asked about getting snubbed for Team USA, Brown said, “I ain’t really got no comment. I’m with my beautiful date tonight,” according to Clutch Points.

Brown might be frustrated with being left off the roster for a second time, but he is choosing to stay positive, at least in public.

The red carpet at the ESPY’s is hardly the place to get frustrated in public, and it might have been in his best interest to give a politically correct statement.

With all of this in mind, it will be interesting to see how Team USA plays with their currently constructed, and if they will miss a player like Brown on the roster.
