Everyone is talking about Jayson Tatum and his lack of time on the court during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Team USA head coach Steve Kerr has repeatedly defended his choice to keep Tatum on the bench.
The criticism of this approach became even louder when Tatum didn’t play a minute of the semifnal game against Serbia.
NBA legend Bob Cousy had some choice words for Kerr, according to Ian Inangelo.
Cousy said there has “got to be some kind of bias” against the Boston Celtics that is leading to Kerr benching Tatum, according to The Boston Globe, via Ian Inangelo.

Cousy said that Tatum is considered one of the best NBA players alive and should get a lot more time during games.
“Not playing Tatum at all says to the world, ‘Not only is he not top five, he’s not good enough to get into a close game,'” Cousay said.
Last week in the group stage, Tatum was benched when Team USA wasn’t in danger of losing.
In the semifinals, he didn’t play even though the Americans had a real chance of being defeated.
It seems that no matter how Team USA is doing, Kerr doesn’t want to use Tatum, and that is indeed very bizarre.
A lot of people agree with Cousy and think Kerr has it out for the Celtics.
That would make sense considering they are opponents of his Golden State Warriors.
But Kerr said he hasn’t used Tatum that often because of “math” and the amount of talent on the U.S. roster.
If Kerr chooses to not use Tatum for the gold-medal game against France, you can expect a lot more negative feedback.
If the coach wants to prove he doesn’t hold a grudge against Tatum, that will be the last time to do it.
